It looks like this weekend we will be attending Main Street Days over in Grapevine.  This festival is my second favorite one of the year, the first being Oktoberfest.  As far as I know, it will be Kimberly, Me, Susan, and Ed.  I’m not sure if Amber and/or Brian are coming or not.

This weekend turned out to be pretty good.  I was hoping to sit around at home and get good and bored, and sure enough it happened.  Around 2:30pm on Saturday, I was sufficiently bored, and we decided to go to “Taste Addison.”  That’s just a festival in Addison that all the food vendors from the town set up shop and you can eat.  More importantly, they have drinks and “junk” vendors that you can look at.

Well, 90 degree weather is no place for an overweight man (that’s me…overweight)!  I was sweating like a….well, honestly, anyone who knows me well knows that I sweat…I think people should start saying “I was sweating like Casey Wells.”  But, I did see the others I was with (Kim, Susan, and Ed) start to sweat too!

We then went to a little corner coffee shop, and relaxed in there until it was time to go eat dinner.  No, we didn’t drink coffee…it was hot…remember?  Try to keep up here! 

Then on Sunday, we went and “trimmed” trees/bushes.  I put “trimmed” in quotes because it wasn’t so much trimming as it was “hacking them in half!”  Those things were huge!  It was a lot of fun though, as I got to hit Amber in the face a couple of times with limbs (she certainly hit me a few times with them too).

All in all, a great weekend.  Oh yeah, Ed also got Kimberly and I a wedding present!  Thanks Ed, it’s great!  And if you would like to know where you can start your own free blog, try http://wordpress.com — it is surprisingly easy.

Kara’s husband, Josh, took some pictures of the wedding. Kara finally posted them yesterday (honestly, I don’t know what takes so long with digital photographs…but 3 weeks later we have them!).

I was holding my breath, but it looks like I made it through the weekend without having to go to another Wedding down in Tyler!!!  I mean, honestly, who would schedule a wedding for a Sunday!?!  (Yeah, ok, so we did it…but I’m still shocked that anyone actually showed up!)

Instead, Chief came over on Saturday and we changed his spark plugs.  He snagged some pictures of it, but so far I don’t think he has put them up anywhere.  If he ever does, I’ll snag them and put them in a gallery somewhere.

Kim painted our bedroom yesterday.  It’s orange now.  I’ll get some pictures of it.  I personally like it, but it might be a little too bright.  But it sure beats the other options of going the other way with it (brownish orange, yuck).

Let’s see…I think that’s it.  I’m going to mow the back yard today.  I intentionally let it get rather long so that it would be more fun to mow this time.  I still can’t weed eat, as I have no weed-eater.  I didn’t get a chance to stake-out my house yet, but that is still coming.
